How It Started
Built on Firsthand Witness
Zulimo Foundation was founded by educators and philanthropists who saw firsthand the devastating impact of poverty on children's access to education in Nigeria. They didn't write reports about it — they decided to fix it.
What began as a small initiative connecting a handful of sponsors with students in Lagos has grown into a nationwide platform supporting children across all 36 states — with full transparency at every step.
2021
Founded in Lagos by educators and philanthropists tired of watching potential go to waste.
2022
Expanded to 8 states, onboarded our first 50 schools, and crossed 500 sponsored students.
2023
Launched real-time tracking, grade reporting, and the overseas sponsor portal.
2024
Operating in all 36 states. 2,400+ students. 180+ sponsors. The mission continues.
Our Mission
To eliminate educational inequality in Nigeria by connecting compassionate sponsors with deserving students through transparent, technology-driven solutions.
Our Vision
A Nigeria where every child, regardless of socioeconomic background, has access to quality education and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Est. 2021
Lagos, Nigeria — now operating nationwide across all 36 states with a growing team of dedicated officers, schools, and sponsors.
"Every child deserves a dawn."
What We Stand For
Our Core Values
Transparency
Every naira tracked, every report published. Sponsors see exactly where their money goes.
Accountability
Schools, officers, and sponsors are held to the same high standard — no exceptions.
Dignity
Children are not charity cases. They are future leaders deserving of respect and care.
Community
We build bridges across geography, class, and circumstance — one sponsorship at a time.
Impact
Measurable, term-by-term outcomes for every student on the platform.
Safety
Child protection is non-negotiable. Every interaction is monitored and governed.
