Every kobo you pay as a sponsor goes directly to the student's school fees, learning materials, and examination costs. We charge zero platform fees on sponsorships.

If you'd like to support Zulimo's operations separately, you're welcome to reach out to us at donations@zulimo.org. Donations to Zulimo Foundation are kept entirely separate from sponsor funds.

How much does it cost to sponsor a student?+

Costs vary by school and level. Sign up and visit a school's profile page to see the full fee breakdown and expenses for that school.

Can I choose which student to sponsor?+

Yes! You can browse available students and submit a sponsorship request, or let the school officer match you with the most suitable student.

Does Zulimo take any fees from my sponsorship?+

No. We do not charge any platform fees. 100% of what you pay goes directly to the student's education. If you'd like to make a separate donation to support our operations, please reach out to us at donations@zulimo.org.

How do I know my money is being used properly?+

All payments go through official channels. School officers verify receipts, and you receive grade reports and attendance updates every term.

Can I sponsor more than one student?+

Absolutely. Many of our sponsors support 2–5 students. There's no limit.

What happens if I can't continue sponsoring?+

Please notify us 30 days in advance via the platform. We'll work to find another sponsor for the student.

Is my donation tax-deductible?+

Zulimo Foundation is registered as a non-profit. We can provide documentation for tax purposes upon request.

Can I visit the student I'm sponsoring?+

School visits can be arranged through the admission officer. All visits require prior notice and school approval.

What countries can sponsors be from?+

Sponsors can be from anywhere in the world. We support international bank transfers for seamless cross-border payments.

How often will I receive updates about my sponsored student?+

You will receive a report every term covering the student's grades, attendance, and general progress. Any significant developments are communicated promptly through the platform.

What happens to the student if the school closes or relocates?+

We monitor all partner schools closely. In the rare event of a closure or relocation, we work with the school officer and state coordinator to ensure the student is transitioned to a suitable alternative without interruption.

Can I communicate directly with the student I'm sponsoring?+

Direct communication is not available by default to protect the privacy and safety of our students. Sponsors can send messages through the platform, which are reviewed and passed on by the school officer.

How are students selected for sponsorship?+

Students are nominated by verified school officers based on financial need and enrollment status. All student profiles are reviewed and approved before being listed on the platform.

What if I have a complaint or concern about how my funds were used?+

Reach out to our support team directly through the platform or email us at donations@zulimo.org. Every concern is investigated and responded to within 5 business days.
